Transforming collective knowledge into action.
We partner with communities to document lived experience, amplify narratives, and translate community knowledge into change.
The people closest to a problem are closest to its solutions.
Participatory Research
We design and conduct community driven and partnered research focused on transforming our communities through collective knowledge and action.
Storytelling & Documentary
We produce community-led podcasts, photovoice projects, short films, and other media that translate lived experience into public narrative for change.
Evaluation & Training
We support community-based organizations with program evaluation, research methods training, and building internal capacity for community-centered research.
Living in the ICE Age
A community podcast documenting how immigration policies affect the daily life for immigrants across Georgia. Residents share their own stories — in their own voices — about fear, resilience, and resistence.
Nuestra Realidad
What began as a participatory photovoice project with Latinx youth became a short documentary film. Young people used photography to name the conditions of their lives, then helped shape those images into a story for broader audiences.
"Communities already hold the knowledge. Our job is to help surface it, document it, and put it to work."
Too often, research about communities is done without them reiterates harmful narratives and exploitation. La Red started from witnessing this repeat in our communities. By combining research, creative arts, and storytelling, we help organizations and communities produce evidence and narratives to transform our lives and communities.
